We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our friendly team to work in the School Office and provide administrative support within the school. Under the general direction of the Associate Headteacher and the PA to the Associate Headteacher, the post-holder will undertake a variety of administrative tasks.

**Salary**: Band C, Full time equivalent range: £22,777 - £25,409 per annum, actual salary £10,553 to £11,772 per annum

Hours of work - Part time: 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only plus all inset days) 9.30am - 2:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

A requirement to be flexible outside of these hours is desirable.

**The key responsibilities for this post are as follows (a comprehensive job description is available)**:
To support school functions and events by assisting with the administration and preparation of various school events, to include Prom, Open Evening, Prize Giving etc., undertaking tasks such as sending invitations, collating attendee responses and dealing with publicity material.

To facilitate the archiving of school records, in line with national guidance.

To support with ensuring school policies are updated and published on the school website.

To support with the administration of staff health and safety training records.

To be confident in the use of the school systems eg. SIMS system (database), Microsoft Office and Google docs.

To undertake communication in and out of school under the approval of the Associate Headteacher, while maintaining strict confidentiality.

To undertake generic administrative duties, preparing, distributing and dispatching parent/pupil post, photocopying, clerical work and any other duties and required.

To act as a first aider in school.

**Qualities required**:
The ability to prioritise workload effectively and efficiently, completing high volumes of workload as and when demands require is essential.

Show resourcefulness in dealing with competing deadlines and priorities in a busy school environment.

Show a highly organised and calm professional attitude at all times showing a proactive not reactive attitude to the role.

Complement high quality work using both MS Office and Google Docs in a timely and precise manner. Experience of Outlook and Google docs are essential.

Have an excellent eye for detail e.g., consistency in ‘house’ style.
