An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Children and Family Services, supporting our new education governance and key strategic partnerships and boards.

As Partnership and Planning Assistant, you will develop a knowledge and understanding of our governance arrangements and be responsible for:

- Scheduling, planning and coordinating a cycle of board meetings involving senior managers and external partners.
- Liaising with board chairs to prepare agendas and arrange meetings.
- Working with service leads to create high-quality, consistent reporting that supports the boards' objectives.
- Taking minutes and actions during meetings so that decisions can be effectively communicated and acted on.
- Supporting with preparations for inspections, self-evaluation and other external assurance processes, working closely with senior officers to ensure that all aspects of the process are understood and are ready to showcase our services.

These boards exist to improve outcomes for children and young people in key areas including for children with special educational needs and disabilities, promoting access and inclusion in education, and supporting the skills development of 14 to 25 year olds. To fulfil this role, you will need to be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be able to effectively manage your work in order to meet competing priorities.
