Quality & Accreditation Support Officer

The post holder will work as a member of the NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board Quality Services Team.
The role provides a comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support service for the Accreditation Team and also to the wider Quality Services Team.

- Support the processes for accreditation of GP’s with special interests (GPwSI) and Consultants within the Community Surgical Scheme (CSS)
- Manage the CSS accreditation, practitioners and procedures database and provide related data reporting as required
- Liaise with the Contract teams in order to correlate actions, respond to queries and anomalies and share data as needed for reporting
- Administrative support for the wider activities of the Quality Services Team
- Support the Head of the Quality Services Team in the management of Central Alert System (CAS) notification process on behalf of Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board
- Compiling reports using the information systems of the Quality Services Team
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Quality Services Team, a team within Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board, as a Quality and Accreditation Support Officer.
The ICB Quality Services Team’s function is responsible for supporting the Lincolnshire ICB in their legal responsibilities of assuring quality and patient safety in all their commissioned services. The Accreditation Team sits within the Quality Services Team and has responsibility for ensuring that clinicians are accredited to provide services within the Community Surgical Scheme; and other specific contracted community services.
The role provides a comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support service for the Accreditation Team and also for the wider Quality Services Team.
More specifically, you will be working within the Quality Services Team, part of the wider Nursing and Quality Team in the ICB. This a relatively small team who work well and closely with each other, offering support and knowledge across the system and as well as amongst the team. Between us all we have a vast knowledge resource and are always happy to help colleagues as and when we can.
**The post holder will**:
- Work with and support the Quality and Accreditation Programme Lead in the overall management of the accreditation and quality process
- Liaise with CSS applicants and their main employer as needed
- Liaise with the Commissioning Support Unit’s Contracting team as needed
- Input into, maintain good order of and run reports from the accreditation database (currently Datix)
- Manage systemised record keeping for accreditation
- Organise accreditation panels
- Schedule and support the Quality and Accreditation Lead with quality visits to the CSS sites
- Participate in and/or minute CSS meetings
- Attend the CSS Forum
- Contribute to the drafting of documents and policies
- Receive calls and queries pertaining to the CSS and update the relevant ICB leads
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of matters pertaining to the CSS
- Effectively deal with sensitive situations and data and maintain NHS confidentiality standards
- Work with the Head of Corporate Quality to support targeted distribution and monitoring of the CAS alerts
- Undertake other duties as appropriate to the role and the Organisation’s needs as required
