**Reporting to**:Day Excursion & Marketing Manager

**Hours of work**:Full time Monday - Friday

**Rate of pay**: £12 per hour

Despite its steady progression, the Company is very proud of the fact that it still remains under family ownership with the second, third and fourth generations now being heavily involved in day to day business operations. Voel offers both British and European Coach Holidays, Day Excursions, Coach Hire as well as bespoke group holidays.

The opportunity has arisen within the company for a Day Excursion Coordinator within our busy operations department.

**Roles to include**:

- Providing support to the sales team
- Researching new destinations and events to keep our day excursion programme interesting
- Negotiating the best rates for our group bookings
- Booking appropriate venues and events for our day excursion programme
- Creating the day excursion programme ready for print
- Loading trips onto our booking system and website
- Producing additional marketing materials such as flyers and newspaper adverts
- Advertising trips using social media (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram)
- Day to day management of day excursions - Updating venues with passenger numbers/requirements and preparing driver instructions
- Gather feedback from customers and drivers to improve the product
- Completing statistical reports each quarter in order to make educated decisions when planning the future day excursion programme
- Taking responsibility of concerts and shows, meeting deadlines etc

**Person Specification**:
The successful applicant will be organised and have excellent computer skills, these skills will ensure the smooth and efficient processes to produce the highest level of service to our customers. You will be forward thinking in all areas of your work. Reliability and flexibility are essential.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, self-motivated and professional
- A self-confident and persuasive manner, ability to negotiate
- Proven experience of developing effective client relationships with a range of stakeholders
- The skill to act quickly and seize opportunities
- Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines
- Poses exceptional organisational skills (planning and preparation)
- Experience of managing a business profile on social media would be advantageous.
- Organised individual
