Income Assistant

My client are looking for an Income Assistant to join their team on a long term, temporary basis to support their team.
**Responsibilities**:
1.To assist in identifying barriers to tenants in sustaining their tenancy through rent arrears, working with them to overcome with help from internal and external providers.
2.To assist in the collection of tenancy related charges, take payments and negotiate payment agreements where appropriate.
3.To answer queries, offer guidance and refer for help regarding tenancy account issues from customers and members of staff.
4.To carry out other administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the efficient collection and monitoring of accounts.
5.To provide an efficient income collection service.
6.To ensure the safe and accurate collection, reconciliation and prompt banking of cash received.
7.To undertake general office and administrative duties and deal with telephone and reception enquiries when required.
8.To assist in replying to general correspondence and on the preparation of statistics and reports.
9.To be aware of relevant legislation and policies relating to income management and Welfare Reform.
10.To accurately maintain information on a variety of computerised systems.
The role is full time and, after an initial training period has the benefit of offering hybrid working.
