Medical Secretary - Specialist Palliative Care/End of Life Education

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and efficient Medical Secretary to join the Specialist Palliative Care/End of Life Education team.

The post holder must have excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and over the phone, as they will often be the first point of contact for doctors, nurses, managers and patients. They will demonstrate good organisational skills, have a focus on teamwork and reliability and be able to manage their own workload and priorities.

They will be a clear and tactful communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people. They will have a good problem-solving ability and a flexible, can-do approach.

**It will be essential that you have**: - A good general education to GCSE level or equivalent. - Typing to RSA II/OCR II or equivalent level of speed and accuracy (40wpm). - High levels of accuracy with attention to detail. - Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills. - Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels. - The ability to work as part of a team. - Willingness to accept new challenges. - A flexible approach to working patterns and practices.
