**Description**:
Due to a long-standing member of staff retiring, an excellent opportunity has arisen in the Financial Operations team for a Financial Recovery Advisor based in AXA Health Tunbridge Wells office. We are looking for a highly motivated delivery focussed individual on a 12-month FTC/secondment, a proficient credit control advisor ideally with experience in a financial operations role. It is essential you are confident at multi-tasking, working to tight deadlines and able to make clear decisions quickly under pressure.You will be responsible for the timely collection of outstanding financial recoveries providing an efficient complex query resolution service to the Health business.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Maintain a log of outstanding recoveries to ensure full accountability of debt and that they are chased to pre-determined guidelines
- Actively chase overdue premium debt on all business types via outbound calling to members/brokers/groups ensuring weekly and monthly collection targets are met
- Investigate AXA Health internal and external customer and broker queries in a timely manner to aid early resolution and ultimate settlement of debt
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the AXA Health UK and International business, ABS colleagues, key stakeholders, and customers, providing support and taking ownership of resolving complex and sensitive cases and acting as an SME for the business
- Work with our customers to provide the right level of support where they express financial difficulty.
- Complete weekly and monthly debt performance reports through DMS ensuring issues are escalated on a timely basis to Team Manager
- Support and assist Team Manager across all existing and new books of business which form part of the Credit Control suite and provide input to chase options and cycle of chasing
- Regularly review processes to increase efficiency
- Adhere to the Credit Control policy and other regulatory guidelines
- Flexible in providing key support to colleagues by undertaking cross-training within team and other roles such as cash allocation, invoicing, and claims payments within the Financial Operations team to create self-personal development and provide adequate cover at times of peer absence to ensure all time critical deliverables occur

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience of working in a busy financial recovery team within a Financial Services organisation
- Excellent attention to detail with good numeracy skills
- Proactive, target and self-driven individual
- Challenging and enquiring approach, strong influencing and negotiation and persuasion skills, empathetic
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Prioritisation and organisational skills
- Computer literate - Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with either SAP or CREST would be beneficial

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
