**The role**:
Steer the development of performance management ensuring it reflects best practice in what we do and how we do it and drive the approach throughout the organisation to build a true culture of high-performance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Drive best practice talent reviews and succession planning including identifying and assessing talent and proposing development initiatives to drive increased mobility and advancement of our talent.
- Consult across the business to build out current talent management plans, determine gaps and future skill needs, providing expertise and solutions in partnership with the HR Directors, Recruitment and L&D.
- Manage the Performance Management approach, identifying opportunities to simplify the colleague experience and driving a culture of coaching and career conversations.
- Strengthen and diversify talent pipelines for business critical and leadership roles in partnership with L&D and Leadership & Culture. This would include the implementation of high potential programmes, coaching, 360 feedback, scoping and delivery of potentialemerging talent requirements and embedding Group-wide D&I initiatives to promote the attraction and successful development of diverse talent.
- Develop materials and provide expert and influential guidance to HR & business stakeholders on talent management related matters along with roll-out of new talent management products and solutions. Maintain an external outlook to remain in touch with futurethinking.
- Support existing talent programmes and work in partnership with L&D to ensure any newly required development programmes are appropriately designed and implemented, delivering the desired outcomes.
- Partner to shape competency frameworks that define critical skills, knowledge and capabilities used to assess talent and determine creative solutions to build out career pathways.
- Optimise usage of Workday to support and enhance all talent management activities, leveraging data and insights to inform effective talent management decisions.

**Requirements**:

- Specialist knowledge and experience in designing and implementing talent management and performance management practices
- A proven collaborator with the ability to influence and co-create solutions
- A track record of supporting business leaders to identify, develop and advance talent
- Comfortable using data to drive insight and decision making
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Comfortable and productive in ambiguity. Pro-active, resilient, motivated and results oriented
- Proven experience delivering projects within a large complex matrixed organisation
