An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Paediatric Respiratory, Long-term Ventilation and Sleep Study team. We are looking for a hard working and reliable person to provide support to the team to ensure that the service is run efficiently.
The post holder will have work delegated to them from the Paediatric Respiratory/LTV/Sleep Study team and also the Operational Management for the day to day running of the service.
The post holder will be responsible for their own time management and ensure that they are correctly prioritising their workload and will undertake a variety or roles and responsibilities.

The Post Holder will work directly with the Paediatric Respiratory team, Long Term Ventilation team and Sleep Study team. This will include a variety of roles and responsibilities such as administration support, answering telephone calls and relaying messages to clinical teams, organising meetings via MS Teams, taking and writing up minutes, liaising with our Clinical Technicians regarding equipment and servicing, dealing with and keeping up to date with databases, ordering consumables, collecting and cleaning Home Sleep Study equipment once returned to hospital, downloading information from equipment, liaising with the Paediatric Sleep Study ward staff and using our hospital systems to upload patient correspondence such as sleep study reports and clinical letters. The post holder will also work alongside our Actigraphy service and will provide support in the preparation and downloading of reports with some patient facing activity.

The Paediatric Respiratory, Long-term Ventilation and Sleep Study service is based within Staffordshire Children's Hospital at the Royal Stoke.

At the centre, young patients are at the heart of everything we do and we have everything needed to make sure they and their families feel as welcome and comfortable as possible. Indoor and outdoor play areas, classrooms, cafes and coffee shops are all provided and have facilities which cater for children from across this area and beyond. We provide a dedicated children's emergency centre, an intensive care unit with wards as well as an outpatients area. The centre has built up a reputation for providing first-class health services relating to a range of common childhood problems, injuries and conditions. Young patients using the service also have access to specialist clinical teams and their expertise, who care for children with complex conditions or medical problems. Many of these specialty areas see the centre at the forefront of treatment in the UK which has led to a growing international reputation for excellence.
