**Mental Health Support Worker - Classroom Based**

Teaching Personnel are working alongside an SEN Provision in the Doncaster area. The school is a 'Good' rated innovative provider of education and care, supporting young people aged 10 - 19 with complex needs typically related to SEMH Difficulties, Asperger’sSyndrome, Autism and other conditions.

The school would like to employ a Mental Health Support Worker to support a group of pupils who are struggling to regulate their behaviour due to their mental health conditions.

The Role:

- Supporting children with learning and general wellbeing - Ensuring every child has the best opportunity to reach their full potential
- Supporting with care needs
- Positive behavioural management
- Adopting a tailored approach to the individual child
- Establish warm, caring and supportive relationships
- Promote and encourage independence and personal development
- Supporting the class teacher and contributing to providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities
- An individual who is patient in dealing with trying circumstances or emotional behaviour
- Accepting of other's lifestyles and understanding of mental health issues
- Reamining calm in stressful situations
- Flexibility dealing with behaviour that may present challenges
