About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team in Doncaster. The successful candidate will work closely with local schools and educational settings to provide specialist mental health support to children and adolescents.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled practitioner who can assess, intervene, and provide training to school staff on child and adolescent mental health. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in establishing links with local stakeholders, communicating effectively with key partners, and responding to the needs within your area of work.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health needs, as well as experience working in educational settings. They will be responsible for providing supervision to trainee and qualified EMHPs, ensuring high-quality services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist mental health support to children and adolescents in educational settings
  • Assess and intervene in cases of child and adolescent mental health concerns
  • Develop and deliver training to school staff on child and adolescent mental health
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local stakeholders and partners

Requirements:

  • Mandatory Qualification: Specialist Qualification in CBT, FT or other appropriate therapy
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience of working with children and families, including experience in a mental health setting
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in areas of child and adolescent mental health and good awareness of key drivers in the field

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
