**The opportunity**:
Due to recent significant company growth, an exciting new opportunity has become available to join our established HR team. We are now looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join and support our busy HR function. The purpose of the HR Advisor role is to provide a professional and efficient HR support and project service to line managers in line with Group HR Policies and Procedures.

**The role**:
As a HR Advisor you will assist the wider HR team in providing a high quality, cost effective HR service, that meets individual site needs and corporate objectives. This is a fast-paced and challenging role, which requires you to work flexibly and collaboratively with other colleagues in the HR and site management teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To provide expert and professional advice on Human Resources issues, and support managers where appropriate on disciplinary, grievance and capability cases using a problem solving approach.
- Advising on ER process, managing and acting as Company witness to the investigatory/disciplinary process; checking letters, taking notes at meetings, ensuring that consistent outcomes are given
- Advise and support managers on the management of sickness absence in accordance with Company policy and relevant legislation, liaising as appropriate with GPs, Occupational and other health professionals.
- Keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and case law and be proactive in ensuring that managers are appropriately briefed on relevant changes and new legislation.
- Participate in the training of Managers on HR Process and Procedure.
- Maintain and provide KPI and management information as required.
- Ensure legal compliance in all employee documentation
- To proactively identify, develop and implement improvements to systems and procedures to enhance service efficiency.
- To represent the HR team at internal and external meetings.
- To devise and maintain information relating to HR issues and policies.
- To maintain the HR database and manual personnel files ensuring that accurate employee records are held and that any changes made are recorded.
- Proactively manage short and long-term sickness absence to ensure that levels are kept to a minimum. This will include producing periodic reports, providing these to managers and guiding them through sickness procedures.
- To provide advice and support during any redundancy procedures and attend consultation meetings as the HR contact where appropriate.
