EDF is currently seeking a Head of Commissioning Delivery for our Hinkley Point C (HPC) site. This role involves overseeing the development and finalization of processes and commissioning requirements in alignment with the detailed schedule of works. As the Head of Commissioning Delivery, you will also be responsible for building relationships and obtaining support, information, and best practices from our Nuclear New Build partner organizations in France and China.

Your main responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership and guidance to the Commissioning Team, stakeholders, and the Programme Director. It is essential that you have a dynamic personality and previous experience in commissioning. You will be leading senior managers and managing constant changes that occur throughout the HPC project.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Develop commissioning processes and procedures based on international best practices and learnings from the UK, France, and China.
- Support the NNB Genco leadership team in achieving work program goals by planning resources and providing short, medium, and long-term resource plans aligned with the Project Schedule.
- Lead the development and optimization of the commissioning program and ensure key targets are met within the project work program.
- Ensure all department activities, including those carried out by contractors, comply with safety regulations, company directives, procedures, and Safety Rules.
- Manage program activities to deliver a professional, customer-centric service related to environmental, safety, occupational health, and regulatory interfaces.
- Foster a strong safety culture within the team, incorporating operational experiences to drive continuous improvement and establish HPC as an international benchmark for commissioning of EPR.
- Develop accurate business plans and budgets for the department, monitor and control progress, and encourage continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the HPC site leadership team to implement policies and strategies aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Continuously review and optimize department resources, processes, and activities to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, the HPC Project Quality Manual, and quality improvement programs.
- Oversee commissioning processes, standards, and documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate business continuity preparations.

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships across EDF Energy and the wider industry.

- Experience working in a large corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills to achieve positive outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Good understanding of large organizational, process plant, and site operations.
- Ability to establish a long-term vision and develop/implement strategies to achieve it.
- Experience in contingency planning with successful outcomes.
- Track record of delivering commissioning in a technically complex and dynamic environment, preferably in the Nuclear Energy sector or regulated industries.
- Significant leadership experience, along with a history of working within safety and quality cultures.
- Experience in major project delivery and commercial awareness, understanding the impact of change.
