Administer the NHS Data Security and Protection (DSP) Toolkit assessment for the Trust and gather evidence and documentation for the annual submission to NHS Digital in conjunction with departments and internal auditors Undertake Data Protection audits to ensure compliance with local and national policies/procedures and relevant legislations. Undertake and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) in conjunction with departments and stakeholders including third party suppliers Act as the Information Governance specialist and provide advice and support to staff on matters relating to Information Governance, Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Monitor annual data security awareness training compliance within the Trust and facilitate onsite/classroom based training, as required. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
