**We are looking to recruit 2 new Receptionists to our team. We cannot give exact days or hours as yet as we are currently overhauling the rota. If you are flexible and fancy a new challenge working within a great team then please submit your CV.**

Currently the practice delivers Personal Medical Services to 10,700 patients from two sites at Tramways Medical Centre and Middlewood Medical Centre. The practice has an open list and will continue to register residents new to the area.

As already mentioned both surgeries are modern and purpose built but the opening of Middlewood Medical Centre, and the additional space this has provided, has allowed the practice to further develop its services. This expansion of services will continue where improvements to services can be recognised and where these improvements are seen to be cost effective.

**1. Job Purpose**

To support an environment in which GPs, Nurses and the wider Primary Health Care Team are able to deliver medical care to the Practice population.

**2. Key Areas**

To provide a reception service to patients at both Tramways and Middlewood Medical Centres.

Reception duties include:

- Greeting patients at the reception, at all times acting courteously and with respect.
- Booking patient appointments, both face-to-face and over the telephone, using the computerised appointment system.
- Where appropriate and as requested making contact with other service providers to ensure the continuing care of individual patients.
- Ensuring requests for repeat prescriptions are actioned in accordance with Practice policy and procedure.
- Where appropriate and as requested supporting GP and Nurses in the Practice by providing a chaperone facility.
- Greeting visitors and guests of the Practice ensuring they are offered refreshments where appropriate.

Additional duties include:

- Maintaining relevant supplies in consulting rooms to ensure clinicians are able to carry out their work.
- Where appropriate and upon request input patient data into electronic patient records.
- The scanning of patient information and results into the relevant electronic records.
- Reading letters, results and other computerised information in patients’ electronic records in order to provide comprehensive information to patients and other members of the Primary Health Care Team.
- The provision of a conference facility service with regard to the meeting rooms at the Middlewood Primary Health Care Centre.
- Supporting the facilities management of the Middlewood Primary Health Care Centre.
- As a member of a larger team unlock and/or secure Tramways Medical Centre and Fairlawns each working day.
- Any other duties commensurate with the post of Practice Receptionist.

**4. Responsibility**

At all times individuals have a responsibility to ensure that:

- They work with colleagues as part of a team in order that a comprehensive service is made available to both patients and clinicians.
- They offer maximum flexibility to the Practice to ensure the core business is delivered to the Practice population.
- They maintain clear and effective lines of communication with patients and colleagues.
- At all times they act in a professional and respectful manner towards their colleagues and patients.
- All staff must be fully covid vaccinated or willing to do so.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: £10.49 per hour
