The Head of Marketing is a Senior Management position within P&J Live Aberdeen and oversees the development and roll out of all marketing activities within the business. We are looking for a Head of Marketing who can take ownership for creating our strategy and leading our team. The Head of Marketing will support the commercial sales team, driving our message forward through strong campaigns and awareness.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- In conjunction with the MD, create and implement a comprehensive Marketing Strategy that sits alongside the Commercial Strategy with the aim of achieving all budgeted targets and initiatives
- Manage and motivate the marketing team to deliver bold marketing activities, campaigns, and collaborations, and build customer engagement to increase brand awareness and drive sales
- Responsible for developing marketing strategies and initiatives to drive ticket sales, creating marketing briefs for all key strategies, and ensuring that they are correctly communicated and actioned
- Offer a comprehensive marketing support package for clients, maximise social media reach ensuring event success, create and exploit regular PR opportunities
- Drive all premium and off-manifest campaigns to maximise sales in all annual and ad hoc premium spaces
- Head up the venues Conference & Exhibitions (C&E) marketing activity, working with other stakeholders - central C&E team and Aberdeen Convention Bureau with the aim of maximising new business and associated revenues from events
- Work closely with the central sponsorship and partnerships teams to maximise long term and ad hoc opportunities, take a lead role in the management and development of the venue’s naming rights partner, DC Thomson
- As a key member of the venue senior management team (SMT), take an active role in venue initiatives and develop the corporate brand identity in consultation with the SMT
- Conduct strategic marketing analysis that will help guide marketing messages. Reviewing and reporting on all areas of the marketing strategies and its implementation
- Efficiently managing annual marketing budgets
- Undertake any other relevant duties which fall under the general scope of your role as directed by your manager

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role
- Fluent level of both spoken and written English
- A Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) professional diploma
- Or a qualification from the Institute of Data and Marketing
