Head of PR

Fifth Ring is a worldwide B2B agency working across brand and demand.

We help our B2B clients to own the space they’re in, reaching target audiences with compelling stories, inspirational experiences and generally delightful work. Owning the space demands deep insight, inspired creativity and impactful content, among many other things.

It’s not an easy task. And it’s where you come in.

This role is an opportunity to lead the strategic planning and tactical delivery of PR campaigns, including team management and skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and lead the delivery of strategic PR campaigns, that can cross communications channels, providing clients with creative and dynamic ideas and recommendations, aligned to answering client challenges

Work alongside the Client Services team to professionally interrogate client requests to get to the root of challenges

Support clients with communications advice and recommendations across a range of mediums including written, content, podcast, webcast, town hall, video etc

Proactively develop and pitch creative campaign concepts to clients

Forward planning with reactive abilities to respond to the news cycle

Use technology to source opportunities, measure effectiveness of campaigns and recommend next steps

Represent Fifth Ring and our clients with media on an international basis, building relationships with key outlets and stakeholders to ensure clients stay abreast of changing markets and new opportunities

Lead the Emergency Response team and fulfil ER responsibilities (after training)

Play a senior role in pitching for new projects/clients including proposal contributions and presentations

Lead in the development and delivery of new products and services, including new technology advancements

Coach, mentor and develop team members

Collaborate with teams internally to market Fifth Ring to new clients

Ensure that scheduled work is delivered on time and within budget

Work collaboratively with Fifth Ring colleagues globally, across various disciplines

Represent Fifth Ring externally at a senior level

Ensure Fifth Ring processes and procedures are followed at all times

Essential

Experience in a PR role, including strategic campaign planning, PR and media relations and crisis communications

Effective writing and presentation skills

Influencing at a senior level

Operating at a senior level

IT literate

Fluent in English

Management experience

Desirable

Emergency response experience

Developing and delivering pitches

Agency/client-facing experience

An understanding of business-to-business marketing and communications

Commercial awareness

Knowledge and experience of the oil and gas industry

Understanding of the digital landscape
