**The Opportunity**
Were looking for a highly personable, dynamic, and friendly People Operations Manager to join our team here at Block. Reporting to the Head of People & Experience, the People Operations Manager leads of all day-to-day operational HR activity and acts as the first port of call for team members interacting with the team. Youll be an ambassador for our brand and culture and take a proactive approach to and supporting our employee community and strengthening our organisation and its performance. We take our values seriously and will be looking for someone who does the same, using their social and emotional intelligence combined with their HR expertise to deliver an outstanding people experience.
**Role Responsibilities**
- Help to shape the People Strategy in support of the wider business strategy and actively execute and deliver against that strategy throughout the year
- Management of employment contracts and changes of terms ensuring great standards of maintenance and hygiene in accordance with any legislative or operational changes
- Proactively monitor employment legislation changes ensuring sufficient time to adapt and integrate into our policies and processes
- Management of key people processes throughout the year such as performance management reviews and career development plans
- Provide accurate guidance and advice to colleagues within the business at all levels, delivering information with good levels of business acumen and emotional intelligence
- Identify, track and analyse key people metrics and trends spotting opportunities and / or challenges that may require attention
- Manage monthly payroll activities in partnership with our third-party payroll provider
- Records maintenance, formal letter writing, and general people administration as required
- Explore people trends in recruitment, attrition, talent management, performance and reward, identifying and mitigating risks to the delivery of our wider strategic, financial and business objectives.
- Understand, represent, and champion our Block values at all times, using them as a framework for decision-making
- Advise on and define new policies and procedures as required
- End-to-end management of a full range of employee relations matters engaging with third parties where necessary
- Support recruitment and on boarding processes, providing and advising on role specifications, reward and recruitment processes aligned to the overarching resourcing plans and business strategies.
- Contribute to recruitment decisions where appropriate including offer details (involving reward if required)
- Organise, manage and where required carry out interviews for new opportunities
**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
- CIPD Level 3 and above desirable equivalent experience will be considered
- 3 Years experience in a generalist HR role
- Proficient in all Microsoft packages including Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook
