Scunthorpe, United Kingdom North Lincolnshire Council Full time

The post holders will work with parents across North Lincolnshire to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, particularly in the antenatal period. They will support all women to initiate and continue to breastfeed for as long as they wish with a focus on families in our most deprived communities.

Breastfeeding is an important public health issue because it promotes health, prevents disease and helps contribute to reducing health inequalities. If you are passionate about breastfeeding and furthering your knowledge and skill base to support, educate and inform the families in our care then this may be the opportunity you are looking for.

If successful, you will be an integral part of our team and an important part of the infant and their family's development. The role includes providing education and support to mothers in both the antenatal and postnatal periods, within the hospital environment as well as in the home and community settings.

For an informal discussion please contact Melanie Moore, Baby Feeding Team Leader on 07717587401 or Alison Jollands, Public Health Coordinator on 07818470288

We are collectively organised around the people and place of North Lincolnshire. Together we ensure that our communities are safe, well, prosperous and connected. We are ambitious for North Lincolnshire, we want our area to be the #BestPlace for our residents by being the #BestCouncil we can be. We achieve this through living our values - equality of opportunity, excellence, integrity and self-responsibility - in all that we do.
