Established in 1984, our privately owned award-winning company is pleased to release an opportunity for an experienced **Payroll Coordinator **to join the centralised Finance & HR team, and will undertake overall responsibility for Payroll for the Group of 3 companies.

**Duties and responsibilities will include:

- **
- Processing the monthly and weekly payrolls for 3x weekly and 3x monthly payrolls (current total headcount is 230 and growing) using Sage 50 Payroll
- Manage in full the time-recording system
- Maintain up to date databases of information
- Submit monthly pension and FPS
- Set up and post payroll journals and reconcile payroll accounts
- Arrange payments for deductions such as NI, PAYE, Pensions and AEOs
- Auto-enrolment for pension schemes
- Printing pension reports and uploading to pension provider
- Preparing and paying average holiday pay
- Preparing and paying monthly profit related pay
- Takes responsibility for National Living Wage and apprentice pay increases to ensure we’re paying inline with employment law regulations
- Respond to requests for information/pay queries
- Process employee holiday requests
- Prepare new starter holiday balances
- Distributing holiday allowances
- Manage the HR + Payroll inbox
- Assisting the Financial Director and the HR manager with administrative tasks/projects including ad hoc financial administration duties
- Reviewing and suggesting process improvements relating to administrative tasks
- Being familiar with andupholding the company’s health, safety, environmental & quality policies and all elements of the employee handbook.

Experience Required:

- Ideally 2 years high volume, corporate payroll experience (both weekly and monthly payrolls)

Experience of Sage 50 payroll would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

Person Specification:

- Strong experience of payroll best practice.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of payroll software, ideally Sage 50.
- Has a confident and intelligent approach to working with colleagues.
- Ability to resolve issues effectively and disputes in a timely fashion
- Flexible approach to work, and willing to support colleagues

A high degree of professional integrity and trustworthiness

Educational Requirements
- Degree in Finance or AAT qualified or part qualified desirable though not essential.
- Strong IT skills including in depth knowledge of payroll/accounting software and MS office.
