Job Summary

The Head of People & Culture will play a crucial role in shaping our company's culture and driving our strategic HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment and Staffing
- Conduct job analysis and design to determine job duties and requirements.
- Develop and update job descriptions and specifications.
- Implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Advertise job openings through various channels.
- Conduct interviews and assessments.
- Coordinate with hiring managers for final selections.
- Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are well-integrated.

2. Employee Relations
- Address employee complaints and grievances.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts.
- Implement and manage disciplinary procedures.
- Develop and manage employee recognition programmes.
- Organise team-building activities.
- Conduct employee satisfaction and engagement surveys.

3. Performance Management
- Develop and maintain performance appraisal systems.
- Train managers on conducting performance reviews
- Monitor and evaluate employee performance.
- Identify training needs and develop training programmes.
- Support career development and progression.

4. Compensation and Benefits
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits, including research and selection of packages.
- Handle employee queries regarding benefits.

5. Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
- Conduct audits to ensure adherence to policies.
- Handle workplace investigations and legal compliance issues.

6. Health and Safety
- Develop and implement workplace health and safety policies.
- Conduct health and safety training and drills.
- Address workplace health and safety issues.

7. Employee Records and Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Manage HR databases and systems.
- Generate HR reports and metrics.
- Analyse data to inform HR strategies.

8. Strategic Planning
- Align HR strategies with business goals.
- Develop and implement workforce planning.
- Support organisational changes and develop change management plans.

9. Diversity and Inclusion
- Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace.

10. Employee Assistance Programmes
- Develop and manage programmes to support employee well-being.
- Provide resources for mental health, financial advice, etc.

11. HR Technology
- Implement and manage HR software systems.
- Stay updated on HR technology trends and tools.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Skills
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., CIPD).
- Experience in [industry-specific requirements, if any].
- Multilingual abilities.
