Export Manager

Northampton

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

**Salary**: DOE

Agenda Partnership have partnered with a Northampton based logistics company who are currently looking for an Export Manager to join their Northampton based team. As the Xport Manager you will be tasked with managing the European Groupage outbound and Internationalcharter operations. You will also lead a team and therefore coach, mentor and develop the team to demonstrate a strong team ethic with clients and internal departments.

Key responsibilities include:

- Day to day management of the international teams
- To efficiently respond to customer and network requests for groupage outbound as well as international charter services to provide cost effective and efficient solutions ensuring that operational deadlines are adhered to
- Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures and legal requirements
- Maintain quality standards and excellent customer service
- Maintain a supplier database ensuring that there are a range of cost effective options to enable the business to deliver customer requirements
- Manage suppliers effectively to minimise cost
- Support the Operations Manager by ensuring that all reporting procedures are complied with
- Produce, analyse and manage identified KPI’s for the international activity and ensure that targets are met.
- Proactively manage the efficiency and effectiveness of the international operations ensuring that activity is optimised with the needs of other departments in the business
- Liaise with internal departments and with other sites in the UK & Europe to ensure good working relations
- Maximise the productivity, efficiency and thereby the profitability of the branch by analysing and helping to improve processes and training across the operation

Experience required:

- Knowledge and experience working within Export operation (road freight would be preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of customs would be desirable
- Prior experience in leading and developing high performing teams
- Commercially astute
