**Supply Chain Assistant (3 Month Placement)**

Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. is looking to recruit to the Supply Chain team a Supply Chain Assistant to contribute to delivering company growth goals. This is a local role reporting to the Senior Buyer.

**What will you be doing?**

As a member of the Supply Chain Team, you will support the seamless flow of material through the operation to meet our customers’ requirements. It aims to ensure that lowest overall cost of acquisition of direct and indirect spend for Crowcon, whilst ensuring component deliveries satisfy the needs of the business. Managing suppliers to deliver against the specified requirements of Crowcon in terms of price, quality, delivery and service. The team is made up as follows:

- Supply Chain Manager
- Buyers
- Production Planning Coordinator
- Supply Chain Assistant.
- Shipping & Logistics team

**You will**:

- Place non-stock purchase orders within agreed SLA’s.
- Escalate delivery issues to the customer facing teams or sales order redates.
- Provide delivery timescale quotations as requested by the business.
- Expedite deliveries of parts where required.
- Ensure supplier Purchase orders are delivered on time and in full.
- Ensure order acknowledgements are received.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding missing information or delivery issues.
- Cover for Buyer and material planner where required.
- Arrange shipments from suppliers by air and sea, to Crowcon, check freight forwarders quotes and choose the best option to meet the companies’ requirements.
- Inventory analysis to review excess and obsolete stock levels.
- Review and maintain NAV buying parameters.
- Complete commodity cost studies.
- Complete project work for continuous improvement.

**Your skills & experience**
- Excellent planning and organising skills.
- Microsoft Office use.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision (Desirable)
- Knowledge of company products (Desirable)
