As our Business Services Coordinator working across two sites at Uppark House and Garden, and our Rangers base in Bramshott, you’ll be responsible for maintenance of compliance records to National Trust standards, finance reporting, administrative tasks and the day-to-day management of contracts relating to soft facilities.

The role is fixed term 2-year contract at 37.5 hours per week split 30 hours at Uppark and 7.5 Hours at the Rangers' base. The usual hours are 9am to 5 pm with two weekend days a month.

What it's like to work here:Uppark and the Ludshott Common Rangers base form part of a wider portfolio of properties including Hinton Ampner and Winchester City Mill. Whilst this role is spilt between Uppark and the wardens' base, the Facilities and Support Services team spreads across the whole portfolio, working to keep our buildings and facilities safe and compliant and our business operations running efficiently.

Reporting to our Facilities & Support Services Manager, at Uppark you’ll be working alongside our Senior Facilities Coordinator, Collections and House team, Café team and Visitor Experience team and volunteers on the presentation of the site 30 hours a week. You’ll be working with external contractors to help us to keep our properties well maintained. As a member of duty management at Uppark, you’ll be helping to keep our visitors safe and happy when we are open to the public.

At the Rangers base you'll be working alongside our Ranger team on the management of the building utilities and supporting them to complete compliance tasks. There are plenty of opportunities to develop your skills through National Trust training courses.

What you'll be doing:The National Trust is a lively organisation that has a lot going on at all times - you can guarantee that no day is the same so you’ll have to love variety. As well as supporting day to day operations, you’ll have the chance to support a variety of projects and offer your advice beyond your team. You’ll always champion best practice when it comes to business support, and will be confident challenging the norm when you think there’s a better way of doing something.

Day to day, you'll be coordinating finance reporting, administrative tasks - records management, taking meeting minutes, arranging team meetings and hot desk bookings, soft facilities management (cleaning and waste contracts) ensuring equipment is maintained and waste kept to a minimum. You'll be arranging some minor plumbing and electrical repairs with our approved contractors, data management and maintaining business systems for compliance and finance.

You'll support the sites with coaching and guidance as a sophisticated business systems user.
