**Fostering Administrator - West Country Fostering Service**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time Fostering Administrator to join a leading Social Enterprise which has been "turning children’s lives around" since 1989.

The Fostering Administrator post is office based in Truro on the Three milestone Business Park. There is a further office based in Exeter.

The organisation is recruiting for a Fostering Administrator to provide support to their West Country fostering service on a full time basis. ?This is an opportunity to join an established team and help shape the future service they can provide to theirFoster Carers, Children and Young people. The team are forward thinking and creative, whilst being committed to maintaining professional standards and strive to deliver the best possible practice.

The organisation’s very recent Ofsted inspection rated Good, quoted - The social work team is assisted by a well-oiled support team. This ensures that there is good communication between foster carers and social workers. They support carers by helping withfinancial issues and other clerical difficulties. This allows carers to focus their time on meeting children’s needs.

Their Trauma informed (ATIC) model integrates across their Fostering, Residential, Clinical and Education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

**The job of Fostering Administrator will include**:

- Maintaining the CHARMS database to ensure compliance
- Processing regular checks for present foster carers and their families
- Processing checks and references for fostering applicants
- Taking minutes of meetings
- Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to

**You will have**:

- The desire to be a team player who wants to achieve best possible outcomes for all children and foster carers
- Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people in social care (preferable)
- Excellent Word and Excel skills plus knowledge of PowerPoint
- The ability to handle complex situations
- Proven organisation skills and time management
- A valid driving licence
- The right to work in the UK
