Head of Compliance

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Governance team to lead on the regulatory compliance processes for WWL.
We are looking for an leader who has a proven track record in leading an organisation to developing and maintaining a successful governance framework of internal and external regulation and ensure that the Trust is in full compliance with CQC and other bodies regulation.
To support the Associate Director of Governance & Patient Safety in liaison with CQC inspectors and support the Associate Director in working towards achievement of higher ratings for services. This will involve close working with all departments and teams to promote the requirements to achievement of an 'outstanding' rating.
To lead on the process for approved documents and ensure compliance with these documents.

On-Call
Please note that senior positions (AFC band 8A or above) may be expected to participate in an on-call rota, if the role is predominantly operational.
To manage major assessment processes within the Trust, including compliance with CQC Standards and supporting with accreditation programme.
To provide responses for all requests for information or submissions to CQC, ICB and other regulatory agencies.
To ensure that compliance assessment processes are in place at a strategic and operational level to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements. To ensure that Trust policy and record systems support this agenda.
To co-ordinate and monitor organisational compliance with the recommendations from the national and local reports or enquiries, reporting to relevant Committees, both internal and external.
To lead on the process for approved documents, including policies and procedures, for the Trust
To line manage the Clinical Audit Manager, Patient Relations Manager, Project Support Officer and Patient Information Administrator to ensure these functions are managed appropriately
This is a key leadership and management role within the Governance and Assurance Team. Through highly developed specialist knowledge, theory and experience, the post holder will work autonomously in the role, interpreting available standards, legislation and guidance
