MMP Consultancy is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Director of Property Compliance for an interim opportunity within a leading housing association based in London. £500 per day inside IR35.
- Lead the Service and Compliance Teams to ensure achieves statutory and regulatory compliance in the 'top 6' compliance areas of Gas Servicing, Lift Maintenance, Fire Safety, Asbestos, Electrical Testing, Water Management and the wider compliance areas, ensuring we keep our customers and buildings safe.
- Plays a full strategic role in the Operations Directorate, proactively contributing to business planning, budget management, identifying service improvements, and harnessing technology to deliver services that demonstrate value for money, and achieve high levels of compliance and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties:

- The strategic management of the Service and Compliance workstream which is delivered via a 'mixed economy' of our DLO (gas servicing, asbestos surveys, and electrical services) and by our external contractors through a variety of contracts.
- Ensuring meets statutory and regulatory compliance through managing maintenance and inspection contracts for service & compliance areas.
- To collate and report on performance indicators for each compliance work stream, ensuring that effective pre, in-process and post-completion quality checks are conducted, and the results of such checks recorded and used to improve performance.
- Strategic planning and development of the service including developing new policies, procedures, and harnessing technology to support service delivery. Continuous improvement and value for money is captured and recommendations for future service delivery are reported.
- Working with Heads of Service, to prepare specifications for the procurement of contracts. Ensure where possible, customers and key stakeholders are involved in planning and procuring new services.
- Attendance at Executive, Committee and Resident meetings. Prepare and present reports on operational areas of responsibility. Ensure reporting mechanisms for key performance indicators are carried out in accordance with agreed criteria.
- Ensure effective record-keeping and monitoring systems are in place and maintained to a high standard to facilitate responses to complaints, members' enquiries, and freedom of information requests.
- Effective financial management of budgets including budget setting and the provision of financial information and analysis.
- Support the preparations of annual and 3-year budgets and 5-30-year business plans.
- Ensure that statutory compliance contracts are managed efficiently and effectively in accordance with the organisation's performance framework
- Leadership and management of a large staff group, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Proactively participate in staff engagement activities e.g. roadshows, staff conferences, people engagement group sessions and managers' events.
- Take responsibility for compliance with all, health and safety requirements and best practice to minimise risks to residents, contractors, and staff.

Qualifications Required
- Relevant degree and/or professional qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience; Evidence of continuous professional development.
