**About The Role**:
You will be joining a small and friendly team of around 25 specialists who work with children and young people who require support with hearing or vision.

You would be the central point of contact for the service internally and externally. The role involves keeping and maintaining accurate records on a database while ensuring confidentiality / GDPR and handling sensitive information with discretion. Also, running reports, ordering resources and logging new referrals to the service.

Strong IT skills especially in Excel is essential and you have good attention to detail. You would be part of Dorset Council Children's Services.

Hybrid working is available but there is an expectation that you will be in the office some days of week as team members visit the office and often need some support with admin such as finding student records or photocopying.

The team comprises specialist advisory teachers for Hearing and Vision, rehabilitation and mobility specialists, sign language support, specialist teaching assistants and technicians. We all work together as a team in a positive and supportive environment.

You will be dealing with schools, settings and parents and have a friendly and helpful attitude. You will also be part of the wider organisation of Children's Services within Dorset Council

**Further Information**:
We base the pro-rata salary on:

- the number of hours
- the number of weeks worked
- paid annual leave entitlement for an employee under 5 years’ service

In the first year of service this salary may need to be adjusted to ensure you are paid accurately to reflect your holiday entitlement. A similar adjustment may be made at the point your employment ends to ensure that you are paid accurately for the number of days worked in any academic year.
