**Role Summary**

The Office Coordinator has a significant administrative role within the summer school management team. Key responsibilities include administration of on-site finances, preparation and briefing of off-site excursions and English Plus activities, implementing HR administration onsite, managing all student arrival and departure administration, maintaining office & IT stock, and generally ensuring the office is a vibrant, effective & organised workspace. Strong communication, organisation and administration skills are essential, alongside the ability to work flexibly and under pressure.

**About You**:
All members of staff employed by SBC will be expected to bring certain key qualities to the operation. There must be a professional interest in working with young people and particularly international children. Safety and welfare of the students is of paramount importance at SBC and a practical enforcing of this belief should be a quality exhibited by all staff.

- Although Office Coordinator are not required to teach the English language lessons, we do expect them to be able to communicate effectively with our students, using an appropriate level of language to suit the group. _Office Coordinator_ must demonstrate patience, empathy and an emotional awareness towards students both individually and in within a group setting. We expect _Office Coordinator_ to take control of students and to manage discipline and behavioural issues in a firm, positive and constructive manner._

**Experience Required**

Essential
- Meticulous organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, flexibility
- Experience of organising excursions, events or other logístical operations.
- Proven strong administrative skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience working in a visitor/customer facing role.

Desirable
- Previous residential summer school experience, ideally with international students
- Experience of working within the education sector
- Experience of using MS Teams as a communication tool
- Experience of using Mail Merge and basic accounting administration.
- Experience managing staff to lead excursions, events or other logístical operations.

**_Remuneration_**: Paid weekly, one week in arrears. The rate for Office Coordinator is £713.84 (plus holiday pay £86.16)Food and accommodation (worth £60.90 per week) are included for all residential SBC staff. This results in a weekly total of £800.
