Your new role
National Highways are currently recruiting for a HR Senior Advisor - Learning & Development. This role will work to deliver learning solutions to the business (e.g. designing and delivering L&D courses), utilising centrally-determined policies and toolsto meet the needs of specific clients. Provide advice and interpret solutions to resolve queries escalated from HR Advisors. Provide HR trends analysis (e.g. analysis of training evaluations against their stated objectives and how they deliver against businessand HR strategy) in line with defined HR strategy & priorities.
What you’ll be leading on
Develop detailed learning content including SMART course objectives, description, duration, pre-requisites, target skills and delivery method (e-learning / classroom/blended) and strategy (including type of trainer, determination of vendor), leveraging needsanalysis results and course development frameworks to create courses that address the needs of National Highways employees and align to HR strategy
Deliver corporate learning and development courses to employees throughout National Highways
Provide administration support to Learning Specialists including project management, working with Directorates and completing TNA’s
Analyse training evaluations to understand any trends in how employees respond to learning interventions, using these assessments to drive continuous improvement in learning offerings
Day to day contract management of L&D suppliers, tracking compliance with security, audit, service level agreements, quality and cost
Support the delivery and execution of learning services across the business (e.g. through the delivery of learning courses and conducting learning needs assessments)
Support HR Business Partners and CoEs to deliver on various learning projects as required
Develop communications materials and guidance to support the delivery of learning services (e.g. highlighting where already designed learning courses could meet bespoke requirements), ensuring alignment to the People Strategy
Plan the delivery of new/amended learning policies to the business
To be successful
Experience across all facets of equality & diversity including diversity initiatives, event and campaigns to raise awareness, keeping track of regulatory and statutory compliance
Ability to envision and scope equality & diversity programmes as aligned to the business strategy and national, local and role-specific specific requirements
Ability to liaise and collaborate with the Planning, Projects and Change CoE in order to deliver their equality & diversity programmes and processes
Knowledge of Microsoft packages
Ability to learn quickly (on the job and through training)
Knowledge of governance guidelines, compliance and regulatory requirements
Understanding of industry best practice and market trends
