Our York Hospital has an opportunity for a highly experienced MSK physiotherapist to work as Team Lead supporting the Physiotherapy Manager with the clinical and operational management of the physiotherapy department.

**As a Physiotherapy Team Lead, you will**:

- Report to the Physiotherapy Manager, working closely to ensure the quality of physiotherapy provision on site including the identification of themes and trends in the data / KPIs and supporting non-compliant individuals where required
- Deputise for the Physiotherapy Manager in their absence, attending key meetings and overseeing the day to day operations of the physiotherapy service (outpatients and inpatients)
- Support the Physiotherapy Manager to ensure that the physiotherapy governance framework is adhered to
- Provide clinical support to Physiotherapists and junior staff where appropriate
- Identify learning needs locally in the department from peer reviews and notes audits to target local learning appropriately by organising local CPD programmes and engaging with the team to deliver these as per Nuffield Health’s CPD guidelines
- Maintain a clinical caseload undertaking treatment underpinned by extensive clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high quality patient outcomes
- Appropriately identify patients who require onward referral to advanced level physiotherapists/ consultants or other healthcare consultants including the use of internal escalation pathways for patients presenting with serious pathology
- Maintain relevant clinical skills and provide on-going evidence of personal CPD and Professional registration
- Have experience of ward based orthopaedic physiotherapy (desirable) to allow flexible working to cover the inpatient ward as required and support the weekend rota
- BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- Registered with the CSP and HCPC
- Able to mentor colleagues towards optimal clinical and operational performance
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively and share best practice and inspire clinical development
- Ability to prioritise and deal with varied workload in effective and timely manner
- Evidence of leadership roles previously with ongoing CPD reflecting a wide range of Physiotherapy experience with a focus on MSK caseload
- Commitment towards the use of evidence-based practice and the ability to demonstrate excellent clinical skills in MSK
- MSc Physiotherapy or working towards is desirable
