About the Role:

This is a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist position within our York Community Therapy Team. You will work independently, managing a caseload of patients, and providing specialist physiotherapy interventions in their own homes.

Job Description:

As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will deliver high standards of holistic and physiotherapy interventions to patients with complex clinical presentations. You will use health coaching skills to effectively engage with patients and their families to ensure expectations are appropriately managed.

Main Duties:

  • To undertake specialist physiotherapy assessment and management of patients referred to the York Community Therapy Team.
  • To determine clinical diagnosis/need and deliver physiotherapy intervention as indicated.
  • To provide support, specialist advice, and training to more junior members of staff and students.
  • To maintain records as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with legislation, professional, and service policy.
  • To be responsible for a defined area of service working without direct supervision.
  • Initiate evidence-based audit and projects to evaluate and improve clinical practice.
  • Initiate and evaluate user involvement and make local service changes where appropriate.

Salary Information:

  • A competitive salary of £41,500 per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits including a generous relocation package up to 30% of salary capped at £18,000.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Evidence of relevant specialist postgraduate CPD activities.
  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
  • Evidence of postgraduate training within the specialist area.
