Job Title: Shift Operations Front Line Leader

We do not have an open role right now, but we are interested in engaging with UK based Line Leader professionals from leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies.

JOB PURPOSE

This is a Shift based role leading an operations team.

The primary focus of the Shift Operations Front Line Leader will be in the following key areas:

- Delivery of key operational priorities - Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality, Performance and Cost, including full communication on performance and issues to the other teams on site.
- Leader of Processing, Packing and Palletisation processes on each shift (factory based).
- Ensure full training programme for Operator teams are in place matching the needs of the teams and building team capability.
- Delivery of AM Programme (steps 1-7), while supporting other areas of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) inc Professional Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Safety and Quality activities.
- Delivery of Run to Standard Programme of a allocated line, allocating actions and driving performance working with the Operations Manager and Site WCM Manager.
- Leading by example and develop team to use WCM problem solving tools - following the cycle of Problem, Phenomena, Root Cause, Countermeasure.
- Working alongised the allocated Process Engineer on any innovations or changes within their operational area, ensuring their teams are trained and involved in proposed changes.
- Manage budgetary control of labour within their crew to optmise standard (overtime and sick cover).
- Manage reduction in non-value added activities - Identify and deliver cost savings in labour requirements through efficiency impovements and way of working within their team.
- Coach and Mentor of Lead Operators on their crew to develop future lines of leadership talent.

The Shift Operations Front Line Leader is required to be on call to provide support for major site safety issues, accidents or major production issues. This responsibility is pooled within the Packing Operations Leadership group (8 Shift Operations Front Line Leaders). Membership of the Factory Operations Leadership Team (FOLT) may require availability to attend off site events.

The key measure of success in this role is the successful achievement of performance targets (KPI’s) defined in the Scorecard for their area. Primarily, this will be Safety (TRFR/FAC/LTA/MTC), Quality (ABCD Class reduction), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE/Minor Stops & Speed %/Change-over%), Output Reliability (OR) and Cost (€/1000 units/Absence%). There will be individual crew based objectives as well as contribution to overall factory and site objectives as defined in the site business plan.

The Site Operations Front Line Leader will play a key part in the delivery of the activities defined within the Sourcing Unit Master plan and annual Factory Work plan.

- with demomstratable experience of improving performance and capability of your teamYou have worked in a FMCG environment.
- Resilience in a challenging environment.
- Degree qualified (or relevant experience) - An engineering qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Passion for performance and developing others.
