Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Assistant to join well-established global manufacturer and supplier of work wear, corporate wear and Personal Protective Equipment. The company has over 25 years of experience in the supply and manufacture of protective garments, with a proven track record supplying large multinational companies.

- Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient using MS Office ( Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Ability to manage work load and priorities important duties
- Experience with tenders preferably

**The Role**:
You will report and work along side out senior Buyer, consequently you will play a key part in the smooth running of a busy Buying department.

The whole team will trust and rely on you to create accurate information and data. This role is ideal for someone looking to learn quickly and develop their career.

Ability to proactively work towards challenging deadlines

High levels of initiative and proactivity with the ability to work under pressure and deliver against short deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Establishing long-term purchasing arrangements with vendors
- Raising purchase and manufacturing orders
- Compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure that they are correct
- Contacting suppliers when there are discrepancies
- Purchasing warehouse consumables
- Creating and maintaining inventory records - including data sheets
- Assist and maintain the supply inventory levels and negotiate deals with potential vendors/suppliers
- Maintaining supply inventory levels for effective company operations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers
- Reviewing purchasing agreements and maintain open lines of communications with vendors
- Tender Pricing
- Conducting regular price comparisons
- Assisting with service and maintenance contracts for the site
- Occasionally arranging freight services
- Additional duties maybe required

**Salary**: £20,500.00 per year
