Purchase Ledger Assistant

**Working hours**:, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

**Here's what you can expect to be doing**
- Purchase Ledger Inbox - maintaining the inbox, daily duties around forwarding documents to shared service team and dealing with enquires around overdue items.
- Assisting in reviewing the company’s credit card transactions on a weekly basis by downloading data into excel, checking and analyzing spend.
- Processing various large purchase invoices monthly which require coding and cost center checking.
- To review incoming statements from suppliers ensuring accounts reconcile.
- Sales Ledger Inbox - maintaining the inbox, daily duties around forwarding documents on to shared service and dealing with enquires around new accounts and any invoice disputes.
- To act as the local contact for our shared service team in the processing of the daily bank statements helping to clear documents that cannot be posted.
- To deal with any other duties which do not change the nature of this post.
**What you'll need to succeed...**
- Have a good standard of education including Maths
- Be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Have the ability to work to tight and conflicting deadlines
- Experience in Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and SAP Finance.
- Be able to work under pressure and under your own initiative
- Be a flexible, team player with a good attention to detail
- Have proven communication skills
