Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program for senior residents in an assisted living and dementia care setting
- Plan and coordinate a variety of engaging activities, events, and outings that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Ensure activities are tailored to meet the individual needs and interests of residents
- Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as needed
- Provide support and assistance to residents during activities as necessary

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in senior care, assisted living, or dementia care preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with older adults
- Understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals in a nursing home or assisted living setting
