Further details as follows:
The Estates and Finance Bursar is responsible for the management of the College endowment and estates, and the Domestic Bursar for supporting the Warden on the day-to-day administration of the College, including the appointment and management of College employees and matters relating to the College’s Staff Pension Scheme.

The Administrator’s primary task is to provide support to the College’s two Bursars, managing their diaries and assisting them in the general conduct of College business. Other duties include:

- Supporting the Bursars in the preparation and distribution of papers for the relevant College committees, including the Estates and Finance Committee, the Audit Committee, the Domestic Committee, the Investment Committee, the Computing Sub-Committee, the Trustees of the Staff Pension Scheme, and such other committees as might from time to time be established;
- preparation of documents for signature and the affixing of the College seal, maintaining the register of sealings;
- support to the Domestic Bursar on the appointment and management of College staff, particularly the administrative staff;
- routine correspondence, including drafting responses to external inquiries;
- handling external telephone inquiries;
- maintaining databases and records of College treasures, silver etc;
- preparation and proof-reading of documents and other material for internal publication, on the College website, etc.;
- ordering and management of College stationery supplies;
- other routine secretarial tasks such as may be required to support the effective operation of the College.

**Key Skills and Competences**
- excellent organisational and professional secretarial skills - to provide efficient and responsive day to day support to the Bursars and support the efficient and effective conduct of College business;
- well-developed IT skills (mainly Microsoft Office, including operation of databases, mail merge, spread sheets) to ensure efficient and effective use of the College’s IT capabilities, including its intranet, collaborative working, etc.;
- strong interpersonal skills to work with the Bursar, the Warden, and Fellows and other administrative and domestic staff, also University staff, College Land Agents, Solicitors, etc., and to represent the College to outside enquirers;
- good analytical skills, with very high standards or accuracy and attention to detail - to identify and draw the relevant conclusions form relevant records and background material, ensure comprehensive and accurate records are maintained, and that all papers and other material for publication internally or externally is produced to a high standard;
- readiness to take initiative and assume personal responsibility for the effective delivery of responsibilities within the overall framework set by the Bursars;
- flexibility and willingness to adapt methods of work and duties to meet College changing needs and requirements;
- discretion, tact, loyalty, and commitment to the College - to ensure confidentiality and trust is maintained and to promote and protect the reputation of the College as an internationally recognised research institution within the University of Oxford.
