Health Protection Unit Team Administrator

The purpose of this post is to become a valued member of the Health Protection Unit (HPU) by providing administrative support in delivering health protection, health prevention and health promotion services to our service users and our staff colleagues.
The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, high quality administrative service to the Health Protection Unit, focusing in particular on the new 12 month initiative HPU are to embark on, Health Positive.
It is Trust policy that for posts that are for a time limited period, applicants who are currently employed by an NHS organisation will only be appointed on a secondment basis and should have approval from their line manager this is possible before applying. Applicants who are not employed by an NHS organisation will receive a fixed term contract.
When required, the post holder will provide, maintain and develop a high quality, front of house administrative support reflecting the professionalism of the Service. These clinics may be for our service users or staff members. Clinics may be for vaccination purposes, physical health monitoring or other appropriate clinics for the service.
This role will liaise with service users, carers, agencies and staff members to accurately make appointments for a variety of clinics including an outreach service to deliver care within the service user’s home. Occasionally the post holder will support nursing staff on visits to patients' homes or in the ward environment to offer additional administration support and offer a physical presence.

Main
**Responsibilities**:
Provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Health Protection Unit including typing/word processing of letters, memos, minutes, reports and other routine correspondence.
To contribute to high quality front of house standards for all service users and visitors to the base.
Contact service users by telephone/text/letter to give service information which may require an element of sensitivity and arrange clinical appointments.
Maintain digital appointment systems for a variety of clinics ensuring patient data is managed sensitively and confidentially.
Asist with the data-collection and management of relevant databases and spreadsheets to contribute to the required outcomes.
Maintain knowledge of service updates so that guidance can be disseminated accurately to Trust colleagues contacting the Health Protection Unit with basic queries
