Home Ownership Officer

Apricus Resourcing are working with a local council authority who are on the lookout for a dedicated, experienced Home Ownership Officer for an ongoing, hybrid role based in Lewisham.
Within your role you will be working within an experienced team to help aid those experiencing difficulties around home ownership. You will also be providing a first class, effective and efficient housing management service to all residents developing strong and sustainable communities through resident and stakeholder engagement and multi-agency working.
**Key duties for the role will include**:
- Building genuine working relationships with the local Tenant and Residents’ Associations.
- Responding to correspondence and complaints, and provide drafts for member’s enquiries.
- Identifying and record details of vulnerable residents, signpost residents for support as required.
- Ensuring safeguarding concerns are acted on immediately and in compliance with the safeguarding procedure.
- Investigating complex cases, work collaboratively with other departments, partners and stakeholders to ensure multi agency responses to complex cases and carry out home inspections
- Taking legal action as necessary. Ensure all legal paperwork is completed to a high standard. Attend court hearings (including tribunal & mediation).
- Keep up to date with all relevant legislation and good practice issues relating to the role.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to accurately interpret customer and client needs, appropriate elements event information
- Ability to communicate in a variety of ways with people according to their needs and circumstance
- Ability to deliver service excellence; deal with demanding situations and diffuse conflict
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of housing legislation and laws with relation to home ownership
In return for your commitment the service can offer a long term locum role (with the potential to extend) working Mon - Fri 9-5 with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
**Salary**: £22.22-£24.33 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
**Experience**:
