**Planner / Senior Planner**
We are looking for an experienced planner or senior planner to join the land and development team. We have an extensive land portfolio with a strong appetite to continue to grow the business and a planner or senior planner will play a key role in helping to drive the business forward. The key focus will be on strategic land promotion - for both our owned stock and that of our landowner partners - and identifying and assessing new opportunities.
My client is a family-owned business, is one of the most successful and long established land promoters and has an excellent track record of delivering fantastic results for our landowner partners. As a family-owned business we take great pride in the relationships we build with our landowner partners and take great care to manage those relationships through each and every project. This personable approach is a fundamental principle of how we operate.
We are only a small team and whilst planning is the primary focus of the role there will also be the opportunity to get involved in other aspects of the development process (i.e. acquisition, disposal and development itself) should that be of interest.
If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to get involved in all aspects of strategic land promotion, we would love to hear from you.
**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
The key responsibilities shall include:
- Site search and planning appraisals for new opportunities
- Manage the consultant team throughout the planning promotion of each project
- Advise and negotiate Section 106 Agreements
- Attend planning committee meetings and present where required
- Manage relationships with promotion partners and landowners
- Provide planning support during the disposal process
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Ideally 3-5 years post MRTPI accreditation
- Experience of working in a planning role; be it for the public sector or a developer, promoter or consultancy
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task, work to tight timescales and use initiative to manage workload
- Proficient IT skills
- Possession of driving license
**What you get**
- Annual salary of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
- Company car
- 25 days holiday
- Competitive bonus scheme
- Private Medical Insurance
