**Job Purpose**
The Equally Safe at School project is a national evaluation of the ESAS intervention in 36 schools in Scotland. ESAS aims to tackle gender-based violence in Scotland.
You will provide a broad range of high-level administrative support services to the NIHR-funded Equally Safe at School (ESAS) Trial. Based in the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, University of Glasgow, you will contribute to the achievement of the ESAS trial objectives by delivering a proactive, efficient, and flexible range of administrative activities to support fieldwork. You should have proven experience of planning and co-ordinating activities (such as fieldwork), meeting organisation and support, including producing meeting materials and minute taking. The post will require regular travel to schools across Scotland and occasional overnight stays.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Plan and prioritise fieldwork activities for the short, medium, and long term, and exercise initiative and judgement to adjust priorities as required.
- Support the Principal Investigator and Trial Manager in recruitment of schools.
- Provide administrative support to the ESAS trial, including fieldwork diary management, logístical planning, preparation of documents and equipment for fieldwork site visits to schools.
- Design and improve processes for effective data collection. Establish and undertake quality control on fieldwork processes and reports.
- Working with the Trial Manager, co-ordinate fieldwork teams to undertake surveys in secondary schools and provide logístical support to the process evaluation team to undertake (group) interviews.
- Independently prepare documents, presentations and reports and coordinate professional communication on behalf of the ESAS trial, with the support of the Principal Investigator, Trial Management Group and in-house Communications Team.
- Facilitate and co-ordinate Trial Steering Group meetings ensuring all necessary pre-meeting arrangements are in place, for example booking of rooms, catering, equipment, preparation and distribution of agenda and associated meeting papers, preparation of minutes, dealing with expense claims, etc.
- Proactively assist with the organisation and support of a range of ESAS events (e.g., webinars, conferences, workshops).
- Support the Trial Manager with management of records (e.g. Risk Register and Impact Log) and reporting to the funders (e.g.NIHR and ResearchFish).
- Support the Trial Manager in ensuring strict adherence to data management plan and secure handling of confidential trial data.
- Support the Trial Manager with the financial management of the ESAS budget, processing transactions and expenses and maintaining spreadsheets to ensure they remain up to date based on agreed reporting cycles.
- Prepare and produce data reports and analysis as required using various software packages and virtual tools.
- Provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator, Trial Manager and Research Co-ordinator as required.
- Undertake other appropriate activities dependent on the needs of the ESAS trial.
