**Temporary Experienced Receptionist/Administrator**

This job description has been prepared in order to define the expectation of the company for employees taking the role of **Temporary Receptionist/Administrator**.

In brief, the role of an Receptionist/Administrator within Portland Consulting Engineers requires good interpersonal skills, confidence and the desire to learn. The role involves the day-to-day operation of the business and includes the following main duties:
- **General Office Activities**
- Answering the telephone.
- Paper and Electronic Filing.
- Scanning and copying.
- Typing reports and documents produced by engineering staff.
- Printing off drawings.
- Archiving, scanning and recording completed projects.
- Maintaining of high “front of house” standards.
- Meet and greet visitors.
- Providing refreshments for visitors.
- Processing incoming and preparing outgoing post.
- Organising/maintaining a stock of stationery and stamps.
- Organise CPD Seminars with associated catering.

**Document Control**
- Issue drawings and documents on approval of the engineering staff.
- Download, save and log drawings and documents received from engineers and clients via a document control portal.

**Financial Assistance**
- Assist the management with basic financial elements of accounts, when required.

The above list is not exhaustive and the role may include additional duties as it develops.

Previous experience is essential.

The company operates a basic hourly week of 35 hours:
Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00

Friday 08:30 - 12:30

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: £15,725.77-£20,000.00 per year
