Morrison Water Services is recruiting for an** Planning Coordinator** to work on our **United Utilities Metering **contract in Preston.

As a Planning Coordinator you will be a key part of our Back Office Support team. Responsible for providing ongoing support to our operational meter installations teams.

We are committed to developing our staff and therefore within the role, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of our Back Office Support function. Including streetworks, planning & scheduling and reinstatement.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a long term framework, with ambitious growth plans. We have a **flexible approach** towards working and whilst previous experience in a similar role is desirable, training can be provided to anyone with a passion and drive to deliver a great service.

**As a **Planning Coordinator** **your duties and responsibilities will be**:

- To work collaboratively with internal and external (e.g. local highway inspectors) customers / stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of the end to end processes
- Reviewing, validating and managing and preparing new work within the designated area of responsibility
- Liaise with customers to keep them informed of work progress
- Maximise the productivity of the operations team by ensuring sufficient work is planned on a daily basis
- Assign & dispatch work to relevant operational teams
- Plan site surveys and/or customer warning card delivery activities, as required
- Serve and manage permits for all metering work to progress from start to finish

**Skills and Knowledge Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a back office support role
- Competent in the use of information technology systems
- Effective communication and customer facing experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- Tenacious and determined
- Confident with a positive attitude towards your work
