Implementation Officer
**About the role**
Join our team as an Implementation Officer within the Public Health Directorate where you will implement important legislation for Human Tissue and Organ Donation on the Isle of Man.
The Human Tissue and Organ Donation Act (HTODA), known as ‘Daniel’s Law’, was given Royal Assent in 2021. The Act aims to bring the Island into line with the UK for standards around the use, storage and disposal of human tissue, and to change the process for organ donation from an ‘opt-in’ system which requires positive consent, to an ‘opt-out’ system which assumes that people are willing to be organ donors, in principle, unless they elect to actively opt-out.
Multiple pieces of secondary legislation, Codes of Practice, and guidance are required in order to operationalise the Act, along with associated consultation, training and public campaigns. This role will be tasked with the co-ordination and, where appropriate, undertaking of these tasks in order to enable the Act to be implemented.
If you consider yourself to have intellectual flexibility and the ability to use your own initiative, can juggle competing priorities and have the drive to deliver meaningful change, we would love to hear from you.
**A workplace that invests in you**
***A competitive salary that increases each 12 months until you reach the salary maximum.
***A generous annual leave entitlement, a Privilege Day and all Manx and U.K. bank holidays; your annual leave will increase after your first year and again after your third year.

***Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, the IOM Public Service offers two pension arrangements; the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) Arrangement.
Access to the Learning, Education and Development training facility, which is exclusively for Public Service employees, to keep on top of your continuous professional development.
