An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy Business and Finance Team as a **Business & Finance Officer **within the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities service within Adult Social Care.

**Your role and responsibilities**

This is a busy role based within the Adult and Community Services Business and Finance service. You will process payments for services from providers supporting us in the care market and deal with their queries. You will deliver financial and business functions, and be a champion for change, looking for efficient and effective ways to improve our services and offer. This role also includes the line management of 2 members of staff within the team, as well as data and performance oversight and management.
The role is line managed by the Senior Business and Finance Officer as part of the Business and Finance Service for Mental Health & Learning Disabilities service.

- work in a mobile and flexible way promoting Suffolk County Council's policies
- be enthusiastic, focused and motivated to take on this challenging role.

**The team**
- The Business and Finance Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Team is based in Endeavour House in Ipswich, but is part of the wider Business and Finance Service which is based across the county.
- We play a pivotal role in Adult Social Care, supporting over 150 providers to ensure prompt and accurate payments of services delivered, whereby supporting the people of Suffolk to either remain in their homes, receive care and support in the community, or receive 1-1 support as required. We are a small yet dynamic team, supporting one another daily to ensure that payments and queries are promptly addressed and resolved, and ensuring that the work we undertake supports the residents of Suffolk.
