Your role and responsibilities  

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Financial Inclusion and Advice Service (FIAS) as a Senior Business and Finance Officer working primarily in the financial assessment team. You will be working alongside the Head of FIAS, Finance and Performance Manager, Senior Finance Officers and FIAS Visiting Officers, and will be the line manager for the Finance Officers in the team. You will deputise for the Finance and Performance Manager where necessary.

The work is varied and interesting and involves working alongside colleagues outside of FIAS in social work services, Service Development & Contracts and locality business and finance teams. Along with other FIAS staff you will be working with providers of residential and nursing care services around financial issues. 

It is an exciting time to be involved with the work of the team who have recently made some significant changes to the way in which they work. The whole team have responded positively to the changes that they have been a part of. Their transformation journey continues with the introduction of the electronic financial assessment (EFA) and customer finance portal over the next few months. The work of the team is key to ensuring that ASC maximises the generation of income to support the finances of the directorate.
