**Your role**

As a Business and Finance Administrator you will be supporting Adult Social Care with the processing and auditing of payments for services provided by providers supporting our in the care market.

You will need good interpersonal skills and developing administrative skills (e.g. organised, attention to detail etc) as well as day to day use of Microsoft Excel. You will be proactive and self-motivated and will have a good understanding of how to deliver a good customer service experience.

The role is line managed by the Business and Finance Officer as part of the Business and Finance Service for Mental Health & Learning Disabilities service.

Based within the Adult and Community Services Business and Finance service you will process payments and deal with provider queries, deliver financial and business functions and be a champion for change, looking for efficient and effective ways to improve our services and offer.

**Your responsibilities**
- accurate and timely payment to the care market
- accurate and timely entry of provider care contracts into the case management system
- budget management for monthly accounting processes
- be a case management systems expert.

**You will need**
- good IT skills, with demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel
- experience of working in an environment where payments and auditing of payments occurred
- experience of problem solving and attention to detail.

**The team**

The Business and Finance Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Team is based in Endeavour House but is part of the wider Business and Finance Service which is based across the county.

The team plays a pivotal role in Adult Social Care, undertaking all non-residential payments to care providers for the County. They ensure that contracts are issued to providers in a timely and accurate way. They ensure value for money and help to identify areas to manage demand.

We are a small yet dynamic team with a culture of being supportive, inclusive and of self-assessment to improve practice and outcomes to our customers.
