**COMMUNITY RESEARCHER FOR THE TALK, LISTEN, CHANGE (TLC) WORKFORCE RESEARCH PROGRAMME.**

**2 Positions available.**

**Faculty/Department**: Faculty of Health and Social Sciences - Institute for Health Research

**Contract**: 12 months, fixed-term contract, full-time, commencing from appointment.

One of the priorities of the BLMK ICS is developing an inclusive health and social care workforce that represented the communities it serves. CTOP is a culturally competent methodology that aims to co-produce outreach activity to enable engagement with diverse communities, public, voluntary and statutory organisations for improving recruitment to health and social care courses and careers.

The post holder will need to develop and maintain networks and relationships with external and internal stakeholders and clients. Excellent communication skills for a range of audiences including diverse communities, practitioners and policy makers will be essential, as well as good interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Speaking a community language (Bangla, Sylheti, Urdu and/or Punjabi, Pahari) language skills are necessary and there is an essential requirement within this role that you will be required to travel to and work at different University sites and/or other locations across the BLMK area. Please refer to the job description for further information.

The post holder will be self-disciplined and an excellent communicator and have a demonstrable ability to work as part of a team. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to other activities within the IHR and UoB. This post is offered on a 12-month fixed term basis but may be extended depending on future funding.
