This is a key time to be joining British Airways as we Build a Better BA. We take huge pride in our past - but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are. If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else
**READY FOR A NEW ADVENTURE?**
**Who are we & what do we do?**
The Global Learning Academy (GLA) is our central learning function. We’re made up of diverse teams that design and deliver training to airport operations teams, cabin and flight crew, colleagues in Engineering and our Global Engagement Centres, as well as head office specialists and our Apprenticeships and Graduate programmes. Our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do so we're passionate about providing the training needed to be at their best, because every colleague matters.
We are looking for a Learning Design Executive to join the GLA’s central Learning Design & Colleague Development team. We are a creative team of design experts responsible for the design, development and implementation of learning experiences across the airline. This is a key moment to join our high-performing team as we continue to build A Better BA.
**How you will be contributing?**
You'll be accountable for leading the end-to-end creation of impactful, engaging and efficient learning solutions for colleagues integral to the success of our operation. Your role will include leading the design process from identifying the learning needs, designing and developing the learning solution, through to implementation and evaluation. As a highly collaborative team member with a growth mindset, you will work with the wider team of Business Partners and Digital Learning Designers to develop long lasting, creative learning experiences that drive efficiency and support our people to thrive in their roles. We want to provide the best possible learning experience for all colleagues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- A passion for learning and an understanding of what motivates people to learn
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels with confidence
- Ability to identify learning needs, provide targeted relevant recommendations to create change and develop those into effective and engaging learning experiences
- Experience of developing diverse blended learning solutions
- Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
- Aspirations for continuous development
Even if your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified, but you think you can bring value to this role, we’d love to learn more about you.
Our Corporate and Support roles come with big potential to make your mark on our business. The airline industry changes so fast that we’re constantly evolving and finding new ways to impress customers and get ahead of our competitors. If you’re an innovator and brave and bold thinker, you will be in your element at British Airways.
Your impact on British Airways will be rewarded with a competitive rewards package plus the opportunity to develop and progress your career in many directions.
Not only will you have the chance to further your career development within BA, you’ll have access to our competitive reward and benefits package. This includes core company paid benefits such as a Defined Contribution pension scheme, generous Life Assurance cover and a whole host of options to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing. You can also sign up for a range of voluntary benefits such as Private Medical cover, Dental and Critical Illness cover, Technology Scheme, Cycle to Work and Electric Car Scheme. And of course, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefit of staff travel as soon as you join us.
- At British Airways we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work._
- Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain._
