**Role**:Net Zero and Growth Advisor
**Reporting to**: Head of Net Zero & Advice Team
**Location**: One of Wenta’s Business Centre Premises - Watford, Stevenage, Enfield, Potters Bar
**Contract**:Full Time/Part Time, Permanent
**Hours**: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week (We'll consider part-time applicants)
**Salary**: £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

- employment skills and advice for people thinking about start-up, existing businesses and social enterprises.
Through our activities and mission for reach, impact and growth, we aim to deliver the UK’s most successful, inclusive support and advisory provision. Our ‘zero barrier’ services aim to support local economies by:

- Providing free skills training to those looking to ‘upskill’ or become self employed
- Providing free advice to help business to start, survive, re-build or grow their business - creating new jobs in the local area.

We are looking for a passionate, ambitious, energetic, and committed individual to join a high performing, multi award-winning organisation with 40 years of heritage and a real focus on helping people to start, develop and grow their business; supporting people to acquire the business skills that they need.

**Purpose of Role**
- Lead the delivery of a multi display range of specialist support services to clients with potential for growth
- To include:_
- Sales/business development, marketing, creating growth plans, sector specific support
- Sustainability, access to funding.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Growth Support**
- Undertake client diagnostics to determine client needs and to identify suitable interventions
- Work with businesses to develop business growth plans
- Assist businesses with external funding options
- Book own appointments for clients and into relevant colleague’s diaries depending on the client’s geographical location and requirements
- Deliver workshops and webinars (this could be in any location depending upon demand)
- Offer required numbers of hours of face to face impartial business advice sessions at any locations depending on demand
- Deliver support and build relationships with our business centre clients, offering them high quality guidance on moving their business forward and facilitation session with partner organisations (if required) to aid their development.

**Business Incubation support**
- Support growth incubations and co-working space within Wenta
- To deliver sessions throughout the year with our growth incubator clients.

**Action Zero Support**
- Advice and assist businesses with their Net Zero journey and how to reduce their carbon emissions
- Use Wenta’s in-house Carbon Footprinting tool to work out businesses carbon footprint.

**Performance**
- Achieve, as a minimum, contract targets per quarter. This will need to be evidenced using contractual guidance and utilising Wenta’s monitoring systems.

**Operational activities**
- Collaborate with peers to develop a programme of partner sessions to be designed into an integrated Wenta programme of events
- Facilitate sourcing of new partner providers and oversee partner sessions
- Contribute to the development of a Network Library of specialist outsourced partners, to provide a comprehensive ‘ecosystem’ of business advice and support that can be called upon to support clients in a range of requirements should Wenta not have the skills, capabilities, and experience in-house
- Contribute to the development of growth programmes and specialist support services
- Engage with stakeholders on the promotion and engagement of growth business support
- Build relationships with local growth hubs and make regular referrals.

**Client Focus**
- Meet and maintain all standard of quality as required contractually by Wenta in delivering their contracts and programmes
- Operate a Code of Confidentiality and impartiality and remain independent from any client’s business ventures with no direct involvement
- Meet and maintain all standards of quality as may be required contractually by Wenta and as stated in the Wenta Client Charter.

**Qualifications Essential Desirable**

Degree level education or equivalent experience.

SFEDI accredited or equivalent.

**Knowledge and Experience**

Experience in collaborating and building strong relationships with **

Experience of starting, running and scaling own business **

At least 3 years’ experience of supporting businesses to achieve significant growth and managing clients through their business journey
